On the CT River

Why a lobster boat?
The lobster boats have a smooth semi-displacement ride that is pleasing for casual cruising. The hulls are usually solid and incredibly strong.  A deep center keel protects the drive shaft and propeller. The boats are low to the water making them easy to board and live on with a minimum of stairs to climb.  The downside: engine and below decks areas are smaller.
